Arno Jordaan is one of the brightest young stars on the South African music scene. He became a familiar face on South African television when he and his duet partner, Susan Dubell, finished as Runner Up's in the first Afrikaans music reality show, Zing, in 2003. Arno commenced his solo career in 2005 and has since launched 4 CDs, with the latest, "Gee My", reaching platinum status.
Arno is an accomplished song writer and musician and compose most of his own songs. His biggest hits include "Vir jou vandag", "Plek vir jou by my", "Vanaand weer ek en jy", "Gee my", "Engele" and "Jy trap hier op my hart". Arno will perform these hits and more at AFRIKHAKI.
Arno, a former provincial rugby player at school level, had the privilege of singing the official World Cup song, "The Time is Now", for the conquering Springboks in 2007. He has also been asked to perform the South African National Anthem at 5 Springbok test matches. He has been dubbed as the Bok's lucky charm, as they have not lost a test match when Arno sang the anthem.
He was also invited to perform at the Huisgenoot Skouspel for the first time in 2009, performing amongst the title song of his platinum CD, "Gee my", as well as duets with Nicholas Louw and Dozi.
